Even for an artist as wildly enigmatic as Tom Waits, nobody could have predicted the new turf he's treading on with Real Gone. Infused with youthful energy from Primus' Les Claypool on bass and Waits' son, Casey, on turntables, Real Gone is Waits first dance-driven album - equal parts grinding beats and Waits' guttural voice. "I don't know what people are going to think of this record, but it combines a lot of different disciplines and different styles," Waits told Rolling Stone, adding, "And I think it's killer, man."
