Light jazzy torch songs stand out on this release, that also features strange electronic excursion that border on quiet techno in a Stereolab vein. It's a strange brew and it takes a few listens to get with the funky 50's style vocal melodies and call and response mixed with electronic warblings. But it has its own charm as the vocals of the unnamed female are alluring and spright in front of the sampled and electrified classic jazz interspersed with pounding kick drums (But just for a moment), as the tracks progress each track softens til it goes total torch and melts away. Just the damnest thing.
