HERBALISER Very MercenaryDropping in on the Herbalizer for the second time in the last year, Wherry and Teeba get back to basics. 1998's samplemonium, an index of influences if you will, gives way to fully functioning funk-hop grooves tinged with pop culture references and hardcore rhyming. Although the group have pulled back on it's trademark turntable-ism considerably, they more than make up for it with smooth orchestration, and compulsive bass lines. It's hard to go wrong with the Ninja beats and american rappers. If you're down with Kid Loco you'll dig it, and if you're on A Tribe Called Quest tip, you'll feel it. The kind of record that makes 'em ask you... Who is this??
