Second time round, Avril Lavigne does it again by paving the way for a new album with a single that's laced with her willful, youthful plainness. From her former first single, 'Complicated', this time she offers 'Don't Tell Me', a track presented in the trademark Avril sound - a clear voice over a mid-tempo rock base. Musically, Under My Skin is no far cry from her debut album, 'Let Go', but fortunately, and quite logically, this album tracks Avril's growth through the past 2 years and reveals a darker, more mature Avril. She doesn't quite get under our skin, but hey, we figure this 19-year-old still has chances aplenty to rock on.
